Early Childhood Education Professional

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, where you will be working as an exceptional Early Childhood Teacher to make a meaningful impact on young learners' cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

The role requires delivering developmentally appropriate and engaging learning programs aligned to the Western Australian Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, Western Australian Curriculum (PP–2), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and National Quality Standard (NQS).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-impact teaching strategies informed by the Quality Teaching Strategy, Teach for Impact, and Cognitive Brain Theory to support young learners' cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Effectively balance explicit instruction in foundational literacy and numeracy with inquiry-based and intentional play-based learning that fosters creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
  • Use a range of formative and summative assessments to collect and analyse student data, demonstrating a high level of data literacy to inform differentiated instruction and early intervention.
  • Embed cultural responsiveness across all learning experiences, incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, Two-Way Learning, and principles of Care for Country.
  • Collaborate effectively within dynamic teaching teams to co-plan, co-teach, and share best practices in a culture of continuous improvement and reflection.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
