A Project Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting project financial data integrity and transparency.

This role is based at our office in Adelaide and offers flexible work arrangements, including a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed reports on forecasts, budget, and cash flow by specified deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Develop processes for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the project controls group on job ledger issues.
  • Prepare journals for project accruals and adjustments.
  • Manage the accruals process and review reconciliations between job and general ledger.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification and professional certification such as CA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and international reporting frameworks.
  • Understanding of ongoing billing processes, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Experience with month-end reporting activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the finance team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Eligibility for a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance.
