About the Opportunity

The Campbelltown Mental Health Rehabilitation unit is a slow stream rehabilitation unit that works with complex mental health consumers over a 12-to-18-month timeframe. As the Clinical Psychologist on the team, you will be pivotal in providing 1:1 psychological intervention, group programs, and behavioral management support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and consultation to address the needs of consumers with complex mental health problems and disorders.
  • Participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assist in the development and provision of education and training programs.
  • Supervise Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.
Requirements
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology qualification of no less than two years full-time duration.
  • Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence-based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
