The Role

We are seeking a results-driven tax professional with a passion for excellence to deliver top-tier taxation services, ensuring compliance and mitigating tax risks. You will report to the National Manager and play a pivotal role in our Client Taxation and ATO Reporting team, focusing primarily on superannuation funds.

Key Responsibilities

Update business rules in systems and processes

Implement regulatory and legislative changes

Draft and maintain tax policies

Prepare tax returns, activity statements, and tax provision calculations (for financial statements and unit pricing purposes) for super funds

Calculate and monitor effective tax rates (ETRs)

Maintain internal tax models and prepare process documentation

Interact with external tax advisors, clients, and stakeholders

Support tax training and implementation of changes

Requirements

2-3 years of tax experience preferred

Understanding of tax law, superannuation legislation, and compliance

Motivated, hands-on, and detail-oriented professional

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to advance), Outlook, and Word

CA/CPA qualified or near completion, and registered tax agent desirable

Background in an investment custody business (including superannuation and managed fund clients) desirable
