**Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team at Montessori Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities, including identifying underlying causes of communication challenges.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practices, incorporating strategies to address specific speech and language disorders.
  • Provide therapy to clients to improve speech articulation, fluency, voice quality, receptive and expressive language skills, and social communication, working closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with clients' families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, share information, and ensure a holistic approach to treatment, promoting effective communication and addressing emotional, social, and psychological aspects of communication disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families on strategies to support communication and facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Monitor client progress, document therapy sessions, and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes, staying current on research and best practices in speech-language pathology.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, with a strong foundation in assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • License or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction, demonstrating expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan with a variety of communication disorders and swallowing difficulties, with a focus on developing individualised treatment plans and providing evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding.

**Compensation Package:

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
