About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Asset & Operations division, supporting the Distribution Network Maintenance team.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and researching design preparation and planning, as well as strategic technical evaluations and implementation of agreed plans across various technical functions.

You will also be responsible for project management, including evaluation, design programs of work, and validation of equipment and systems, as well as managing the development of broad plans, budgets, and strategies within the Energy Network.

About You

We are looking for a people-orientated and commercially focused Senior Engineer with experience working in complex organisations.

You will have a strong focus on stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively across a diverse group to ensure a sustainable approach based on future business needs.

You will have extensive knowledge and experience in a similar engineering role in the Energy/Electrical and/or Utilities Industry, with exposure to current network design philosophies, procedures, statutory requirements, and Essential Energy Electrical Safety Rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new criteria and applications of knowledge and procedures across the Energy Network.
  • Manage the development of broad plans, budgets, and strategies within the Energy Network.
  • Project manage the evaluation, design programs of work, and validation of equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a sustainable approach based on future business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Electrical or equivalent) to satisfy Professional Membership criterion of Engineers Australia or other Professional Body as aligned to the Washington Accord.
  • Drivers licence.
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.
  • Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry, and business required licenses, authorisations, and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role.
Desired
  • Level 3 Restricted Zone Substation access.
