Salary

The consultant will be expected to earn an annual salary ranging from $190,000 to over $300,000, dependent on Level of Experience, with an additional over award of $100-$125 per hour.

Job Description

About the Role

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services, including DEXA, NM and PET/CT, plain film radiography, fluoroscopic procedures, ultrasound, CT and MRI, including procedural skills in general radiology. Competency in Abdominal Imaging and MRI would be desirable.

Broad range of MR knowledge and experience to a level for independent consultant practice, magnet supervision, protocol development and clinical service growth is also expected.

The successful candidate will be required to work independently as a consultant, with minimal supervision, and will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Medical Imaging Department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Medical Degree from a medical school recognized in Victoria;
  • Nuclear Medicine FRACP/FRANZCR;
  • RANZCR or RACP Fellowship;
  • Registration with AHPRA;
  • Good standing with own Medical Defence Organisation;
  • Radiation Use Licence;
  • Competence with general MRI and Abdominal MRI;
  • Competence in general radiology diagnostic and procedural skills;
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
