Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a secondary teacher. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to inspire and support students in their learning journey.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students. As a secondary teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.

  • Create a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluate their effectiveness; assess and report student progress and learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers, and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture.

You will have the opportunity to engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes and establish positive relationships in the pastoral care of students, supporting their spiritual and moral development.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess:

  • Relevant contemporary skills and experience as a secondary teacher.
  • A commitment to engaging with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
  • A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.

The successful candidate will be required to be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment and hold current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
