Caseworkers play a pivotal part in supporting young offenders to successfully navigate the justice system. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring and addressing the risk factors that contribute to re-offending.
Main Responsibilities:- Monitor young offenders' compliance with court orders and implement strategies to prevent non-compliance
- Conduct thorough assessments of young offenders' needs and develop targeted interventions to address these needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for young offenders, their families, and the community
- Prepare and present reports to inform judicial decision-making and facilitate effective case management
- Manage complex records and information systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge and contribute to organisational goals
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
- Proven experience working with vulnerable populations, including young offenders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
