About the Role

The Infrastructure Systems Specialist will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of key IT infrastructure technologies that support business operations.

  • Provide strategic leadership to IT support teams, ensuring responsiveness to business needs and motivating diverse teams to achieve positive results.
  • Deliver infrastructure services, networks, and applications with a focus on maintaining capacity and availability.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures for data security and privacy.
  • Manage projects related to business integration and office setup, collaborating with network, telephony, and other engineers/suppliers to ensure seamless integrations.
  • Lead service improvements through automation and scripting of administrative tasks.
  • Participate in reviewing operational infrastructure requirements and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Make timely, informed decisions based on analysis and experience, relying on extensive knowledge and sound judgment.
  • Maintain relationships with Managed Service Providers, conducting regular reviews to ensure engagement with suitable vendors.
  • Perform cost control activities and monitor revenues and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Enhance documentation of system configurations, application installs, and procedures.
  • Ensure changes in infrastructure and application environments are thoroughly tested and implemented via the Change Management process, aligning with ITIL best practices.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members, facilitating knowledge transfer to junior colleagues.
  • Support major incident response according to established escalation procedures.
