The role of scrub/scout nurse is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of gynaecological procedures and other selected surgeries. This involves working closely with doctors, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all patients receive exceptional care.

As a scrub/scout nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Patient admission, screening, and preparation for surgery
  • Assisting doctors with treatments in the procedure room
  • Providing recovery care to patients, including assessing their readiness for discharge
  • Ensuring the safe handling and management of specimens, medications, and other essential items

To be considered for this position, you must have previous experience working in a day surgery environment. Ideal candidates will have scrub and scout experience, a focus on customer service and patient care, and relevant qualifications such as a nursing degree or midwifery certification.
