As a key member of the GFG-Alliance team, you will play a critical role in supporting Group Management and Executive's longer-term decision-making and capital market activities, including fund-raising and M&A.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining medium to long-term Group financial planning approaches and models
  • Providing timely, accurate, and reliable financial forecasts and actionable analysis to leaders
  • Identifying performance improvement opportunities and risks, and leading strategic projects to deliver value-enhancing outcomes
  • Supporting the continual development of KPI and metric repositories for use in financial models or assessments, and contributing to the development of the Group's ESG planning and reporting
  • Serving as the key point of contact to the Capital Investment Committee, offering analysis and advice to assist their decision-making

You will be a highly motivated and resourceful team player with strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills, able to present and report complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders clearly and succinctly.

Key qualifications include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, though these are not essential
  • Professional certifications such as CA or CFA qualified are desirable
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or related roles
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including a strong understanding of corporate finance principles, approaches to forecasting, financial markets, and accounting concepts
  • Hands-on experience of developing complex financial forecast models is essential
  • High proficiency in Excel, with exposure to both group planning and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of the steel industry and its value drivers is highly preferred
  • Experience using TM1 (Planning Analytics) and SAP is preferred
