About This Role
Whitehaven Coal is seeking a Health Specialist to support and provide subject matter advice to our operations across the Gunnedah Region. This is a strategic role which will drive improvement and positive changes to the health and wellbeing of our workforce across our Gunnedah Open Cuts operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of health and hygiene management systems
- Provide subject matter advice to fitness for work, mental and physical wellbeing programs
- Provide coaching and subject matter advice to frontline leaders
- Contribute to the development of the Injury and Illness Management program
- Assist and improve the Whitehaven Coal health surveillance program
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Hygiene or related discipline)
- Extensive clinical experience ideally in Work, Health and Safety
- Live local to the Gunnedah Area or willingness to relocate (assistance provided)
- Return to Work Coordinator qualification
- Root cause incident investigation and Risk Management facilitation
