Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to support students in our educational setting. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a tailored learning environment that fosters the academic and personal growth of students on the autism spectrum.

Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing individualised plans, working closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver quality learning programs, and providing emotional support to students as needed. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and refine teaching strategies and approaches.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of autism and specialist education approaches, and a commitment to delivering high-quality educational outcomes. You will also be required to hold a Certificate III in Education Support or relevant tertiary qualification, and have experience working with students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised plans for students on the autism spectrum
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to deliver quality learning programs
  • Provide emotional support to students as needed
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of teaching strategies and approaches

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Education Support or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of autism and specialist education approaches
