
Regional Development Strategist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of our region's strategic plan, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with legislative frameworks and organisational vision.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding our region's development and economic success through strategic land use planning, economic development, and environmental initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team to develop and implement land use plans and initiatives;
- Overseeing project delivery, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion;
- Providing expert advice to internal and external groups on strategic planning matters;
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning assessment processes and procedures;
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need at least 5 years of experience in strategic planning, excellent communication skills, and a high level of political awareness. Proven technical expertise in delivering planning schemes, amendments, and projects is essential, as are solid leadership capabilities to manage and guide the team.
