Job Overview

Our client is a professional accounting firm serving clients across regional Victoria and Melbourne. They offer comprehensive services in taxation, accounting compliance, and business consulting to a diverse client base.

This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs. You will also manage BAS, IAS, and other compliance lodgements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for various entities
  • Managing BAS and other compliance lodgements
  • Supporting SMSF clients through full compliance
  • Providing business advisory services such as cash flow forecasting and tax planning
  • Mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant tax laws and industry updates
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in public practice
  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
  • Strong technical skills and experience in Australian tax and accounting standards
  • SMSF experience highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
