Our mission at the Department of Communities and Justice is to protect children from harm. As a Child Protection Specialist, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to reports about safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed.
- Work collaboratively with parents, family members, children or young people to develop risk management plans and conduct thorough assessments.
- Manage complex cases and situations, including working with high-risk clients and their families.
- Be involved in court processes, including preparing documents and attending proceedings.
- Confidence, empathy, and resilience when interacting with vulnerable individuals and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a current working with children clearance number.
