Dermatology Nurse Specialist

Dermatology nurse specialists play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in dermatological settings. This position is available at a reputable clinic in Newcastle, Australia.
**About the Role**: As a registered nurse with experience in medical practices, you will contribute to the success of our client by supporting various dermatology treatments and collaborating with patients, dermatologists, and a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Patient Care & Safety: Provide compassionate care while ensuring confidentiality and maintaining patient trust.
- Clinical Duties: Assist in surgical procedures, administer local anesthetic injections, remove sutures, provide wound care, and ensure proper aftercare.
- Specialized Treatments: Assist with or perform cosmetic injectables (e.g., anti-wrinkle injections), allergy patch testing, UVB phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, and manage laser and light treatments.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on their treatment plans, skincare routines, and post-procedure care.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and sterilize equipment, monitor stock, and manage medical supplies.
- Administrative Collaboration: Work closely with administrative staff for triaging, patient flow, and handling communications.
**Requirements**: To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Practice.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
