We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in dental assisting and excellent communication skills.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort. They will also assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
In addition, the Dental Assistant will be responsible for monitoring dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised. They will also provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
- Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential.
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy.
