Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiologist

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Specialist to join our team at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service.

About the Role
  • This is a contract position with a maximum term of up to 30 June 2027.
  • The primary location of this position may be varied as agreed with the Director of Medical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.

You will work collaboratively with a high-performing team at the forefront of image-guided care. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing, innovative service delivering minimally invasive procedures that have a profound impact on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to service development and advance the role of IR within a dynamic tertiary healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, including experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and other staff of the hospital.

As an experienced Interventional Radiologist, you will have a proven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high-quality service in the specialty. You will also have demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements
  • Registration or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists with completed fellowship in Interventional Radiology and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
  • Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
