Job Title: Panel Beater / Body Builder

Busways Group is seeking a skilled Panel Beater / Body Builder to join our team at our Penrith Depot. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the preparation and cleaning of all surfaces prior to any paint application taking place.
  • Remove, repair and replace damaged panels.
  • Maintain all spray-painting equipment and tools provided by the Company.
  • Provide body structural, accident damage and associated repairs, service and maintenance to vehicles as required.
  • Manufacture, service and fit vehicle components constructed from materials such as aluminium, timber, steel, stainless steel, glass, fiberglass, sealing and bonding materials.
Requirements:
  • Possess relevant trade qualifications.
  • Have adequate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of skills relative to a spray-painting role.
  • Have minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
  • Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Be proactive and motivated in finding better ways to continuously improve, while being adaptable in a dynamic and growing team.
  • Have previous experience with automotive or industrial painting equipment.
  • The ability to differentiate between colours as well as balancing and layering colours.
  • Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role.
  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State.
