About the Role

The Injury Management Business Partner is a critical position within our national Health, Safety, and Wellbeing team.

This role plays a vital part in implementing best practice injury management, prevention, and return-to-work programs across Blackwoods Group.

  • Proactive Intervention: Provide support and recovery assistance to injured workers.
  • Coaching and Guidance: Enhance injury recovery outcomes by coaching, influencing, and guiding managers, injured workers, and service providers through various methods, including training.
  • Team Motivation: Communicate and motivate the broader team to implement early intervention strategies and hold them accountable for necessary actions.
  • Claims Management: Oversee claims across all jurisdictions within the Wesfarmers self-insurance framework, ensuring strategic and cost-efficient management to minimise premium impact.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and establish management systems to meet state-based regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership Influence: Improve injury recovery results by coaching and influencing leaders throughout the business.
  • Data Interpretation: Analyse and provide insights on injury and claims trends to senior leadership.
About You

We are looking for an individual with:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a return-to-work (RTW) or Injury Management role.
  • A high level of interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to interpret state-based regulations and apply them to a national framework.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong ability to identify and resolve issues through multi-source information evaluation.
  • Competency in working with geographically dispersed stakeholders.
