Drone Technology Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage and operate drone operations for various projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of drone technology, excellent piloting skills, and the ability to analyze aerial data.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Operating drones for aerial photography, videography, surveying, and inspections.
2. Conducting pre-flight checks to ensure drones are in optimal working condition.
3. Operating drones in accordance with CASA regulations and local laws.
4. Planning flight paths and adjusting them as necessary based on environmental conditions.
5. Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting aerial data for reporting and project needs.
6. Collaborating with team members to ensure project goals are met.
7. Maintaining detailed records of flights, including time, locations, and data collected.
8. Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on drone equipment.
9. Staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to drone operations.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

1. CASA Remote Pilot License (RePL) and relevant endorsements.
2. Proven experience operating drones in various settings.
3. Strong technical knowledge of drone systems and software (e.g., mapping and modeling software).
4. Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly.

Experience with specific drone models, knowledge of photogrammetry and GIS applications, and previous experience in industries such as construction, agriculture, or film are preferred.
