Key Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead our digital product development team. As a Principal Product Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality, reliable, and maintainable ICT/Digital systems and/or networks.

  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver valuable software aligned with our ICT/Digital strategy.
  • Your expertise in SQL queries, database development, and system integration will be crucial in driving the success of our products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of digital products that meet the Organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality code is delivered and reused across the organisation.
  • Enhance developer practices to drive high performance in ICT/Digital product and system development.
  • Manage technology changes to optimise outcomes in line with organisational priorities.

Requirements:

  • Advanced experience (4 years +) with SQL queries, SQL programming, and database development.
  • Proven leadership skills in a team setting, with the ability to guide junior and senior engineers.
  • Experience with systems integration, APIs, and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, SVN).
  • Solution design including creation of detailed design documentation and presentations.
  • Guidance and mentorship to junior and senior engineers, fostering their growth and enhancing team productivity.
