Job Title: Seasonal Casual

Are you looking for a physically demanding role with a sense of fulfillment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Seasonal Casual to join our team at Australia Post.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort parcels and mail using manual or machine-assisted methods with the aid of scanners
  • Load and unload mail from mail bags, trays, containers, and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
  • Operate and use load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers while working with operations staff to get the mail into the facility

Role Details:

  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team
  • Morning shifts Monday to Friday and 1 Sunday in 3
  • 04:30 - 11:15 (Mon-Fri) 06:00-12:00 (Sun)

What We Offer:

  • A competitive adult pay rate starting at $31.85
  • Some roles may attract penalty rates for overtime, evening, and weekend work
  • Junior Rates apply

About You:

  • You're available to work from October through our peak period
  • You enjoy a physical role and can lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly
  • You're safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices, including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
  • You're comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products

  • A higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates)
  • You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
  • We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
