We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Fostering Support Practitioner to join our team at Churches of Christ in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing care services to children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and assess carers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Deliver key community support services, including negotiating family support plans and coordinating placements.
- Provide assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term intervention skills and therapeutic approaches to support children, young people, carers, and families.
- Degree qualification in social work, psychology, social sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years' experience in providing care services to children, young people, and their families in statutory care.
- Demonstrated experience in providing training to carers and applying assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term intervention skills and therapeutic approaches.
- Applied knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks.
