Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Opportunity

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and skill. You will work under the overall direction of the Manager, Nuclear Medicine or designate, and will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures with skill and ingenuity.

About the Role:

  • ">
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment and must possess excellent knowledge in the performance of all nuclear medicine procedures performed in the department.">
  • You will be responsible for assuming responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required.">
  • You will comply with Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and promote a safe work environment.">
  • You will adhere to Licensing and Radiation Safety guidelines set out by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • ">
  • Certification as a M.R.T.(N) is required.">
  • Current membership with CMRITO is required.">
  • Classification as a Nuclear Energy Worker is required.">
  • CPR certificate is preferred.">
  • You must demonstrate excellent knowledge and be able to perform all current nuclear medicine procedures in the department.">
  • You must demonstrate independent judgment, skill, ingenuity and initiative in the performance of duties to obtain superior diagnostic images.">
  • You must demonstrate a commitment to participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives/Programs.">
  • You must have high standards in oral and written communication skills and be able to work as a member of an integrated healthcare team.">
  • You must have a commitment to maintaining/enhancing professional competence through participation in appropriate continuing education activities.">
  • You must be in general good health and have a level of functional ability appropriate to the demands of the position.">
  • French language skills are an asset.">
