Cloud Automation Engineer

As a Cloud Automation Engineer, your primary focus will be on designing and implementing continuous integration and delivery (CICD) solutions using various cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and others.

A strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to think outside the box. You will work with internal and external partners to manage and improve existing CICD tools, build new services, and collaborate closely with support teams to ensure seamless transitions of new services into operations.

Additionally, you will act as a Scrum Master for the Agile Squad and drive team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and building scalable services in cloud service providers like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Azure
  • Expert understanding of DevOps and Automation principles, Infrastructure as a Code concepts, and techniques
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and available tools
  • Security and Compliance expertise, including IAM, auditing, monitoring, and cloud security tools
  • Customer/stakeholder focus with strong relationship-building skills across Application teams, IT teams, and global/local teams
  • Good leadership and teamwork skills
  • Operational effectiveness in delivering solutions that align with approved design patterns and security standards
  • Excellent coding skills in languages such as Terraform, Ansible, Shell Scripting, and Python
  • Hands-on experience in full automation and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable cloud service provider experience, preferably in Azure and GCP, for infrastructure build and configurations
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) tools, and Agile environments
  • Automation scripting skills using languages like Terraform, Ansible, and Hashicorp Vault
  • Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with JIRA and ServiceNow

Desirable Skills:

  • Azure Certifications, preferably professional level
  • Terraform Certification
  • Ansible Certification
