Leading Early Childhood Professional

At Goodstart Early Learning, we are committed to providing high-quality early learning and care to our children. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to join our team in Townsville, QLD.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of $30-$37 per hour + superannuation. As the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for supporting the Centre Director in the leadership of the team, mentoring and building capabilities within the centre team, and being responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence.
The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved), current QLD Working with Children Check, and First Aid qualification. You will also need to have previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position.
Salary$30-$37 per hour + superannuation

Job DescriptionThe successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
- Mentoring and building capabilities within the centre team
- Being responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence
You will also be expected to use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
- Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
- Current QLD Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
Previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position is also required.
