Engineering Design Leadership Opportunity

As an experienced Engineering Design Manager, you will lead internal engineering multidisciplinary projects and support the Manager of Engineering in delivering consistent, value-for-money, accurate, and timely technical information. Your expertise in industries such as water, mining, oil and gas, or similar sectors is highly valued.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Initially a 6-month contract
  • Contribute to industry-leading WHS performance across the organization
  • Ensure full compliance with the Safety in Design (SID) process to eliminate or minimize health and safety risks from design throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Demonstrate safety leadership by modeling safety behaviors and culture as defined by the Engineering Safety Framework
  • Lead multidisciplinary design teams to deliver consistent, value-for-money, accurate, and timely technical outputs
  • Create a plan for effective design delivery, meeting milestones while considering other business needs such as water quality, stakeholder relations, security, and WHS
  • Develop understanding of Safety in Design Standards and demonstrate compliance in designs, project deliverables, and technical documentation
  • Ensure project expectations and milestones are clear to design teams, stakeholders, and Engineering Managers

Requirements:
  • Associate Diploma of Project Management and/or postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Management
  • Experience in engineering design, design review, development of infrastructure standards, with strong analytical skills to assess, evaluate, and solve problems
