About the Role
The Technical Director - Production is a key position within our team, responsible for providing high-end technical and event expertise throughout the entire event production process. This includes supervision of technicians in the delivery, installation, operation, and removal of audio-visual equipment for shows of any size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop event objectives, reviewing and developing event proposals in coordination with key stakeholders.
- Determine event specifications, creating event designs based on customer requirements and ensuring cost estimates stay within budget parameters.
- Develop and maintain event schedules within specifications, estimating labor, equipment, and transport requirements.
- Publish show brief information, including schedules, floor plans, and schematics.
- Attend client meetings and briefings as required.
- Manage the financial integrity of the event.
- Provide technical advice to the sales department and assist with cost estimates as needed.
- Provide in-bound sales teams with cost estimates and check out-bound estimates daily in areas of specification, equipment availability, and suitability.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience in corporate events.
- Customer-centric and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
