Job Title: Live Broadcast Engineer Opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced and skilled broadcast engineer to join our team based in Australia. The successful candidate will have a passion for teamwork, excellent interpersonal skills, and brilliant technical minds.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and monitor the mobile unit broadcast engineering operations at remote events.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting while executing changes and engineering updates on the mobile unit.
  3. Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the mobile unit.
  4. Track and report on equipment and system repair and maintenance status.
  5. Direct the activities of crew members related to the operation of the mobile unit.
  6. Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates.
  7. Provide on-site client service and technical support.
Skills Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a broadcast truck solo is essential.
  • Good understanding of outside broadcast workflows.
  • Understanding of SMPTE 2110 is desirable.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • VSM or TFC knowledge and experience with IP technology is preferred.
  • Well-organised and able to prioritise work in order of on-air importance.
  • Positive attitude, able to work to explicit deadlines, can pick up new concepts rapidly and work closely with colleagues for long periods.

 

This is a full-time role and is a unique opportunity for the right person to work in a live broadcast environment.

The ideal candidate will be available to work weekends and around Australia.
