IH Sydney Training Services has been a leading provider of English language and vocational courses for over three decades. The role involves delivering lessons to ELICOS classes of students who are non-native English speakers. This requires experience in teaching Cambridge Exam classes and international EAL students. You will be responsible for curriculum development and delivery, assessment of student work, and reporting results.
We offer competitive rates for casual teachers and attractive contracts for full-time positions. Benefits include:
- an emergency relief rate of $75/hour
- salaries according to the secondary awards
- immediate start
In this role, you will also be required to engage in professional collaboration with other teachers and trainers, attend weekly meetings, and participate in bimonthly professional development sessions. You will need to ensure that all regulatory administration duties are completed, including attendance monitoring, progress tracking, and record keeping.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- a recognised TESOL qualification
- experience in teaching Cambridge Exam classes
- strong IT skills and digital literacy
- a passion for maximising student engagement and academic performance
