We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Mechanical Technician. This individual will be responsible for performing routine and breakdown maintenance, inspection and monitoring of assets.

Key aspects of the job include preparing work records and reports, conducting risk assessments and implementing controls to mitigate risk, and supervising service providers/contractors to ensure work is conducted to an appropriate standard and in a safe manner.

Requirements for the role include a tertiary qualification in mechanical fitting or proven experience in the maintenance of power generation assets, as well as experience working in a team environment and independently.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving, planning skills and safety awareness, with sound written and verbal communication skills and ability to utilise computer software products ideally.

This role offers stability and further career progression to someone who is flexible and willing to work as part of our team. A full clean driver's licence is required to travel to other sites.

About The Role
  • Perform routine and breakdown maintenance, inspection and monitoring of assets including installation and commissioning
  • Prepare work records and reports, including input into SAP
  • Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties utilising other skills and competencies
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate risk
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment systems and policies
  • Supervise service providers/contractors to ensure work is conducted to an appropriate standard and in a safe manner
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Fitting or proven experience in the maintenance of power generation assets
  • Experience working in a team environment and independently
  • Strong problem-solving, planning skills and safety awareness
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilise computer software products ideally SAP
