About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our Contract Logistics division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional inventory management and control services to a major customer in the electrical and electronics products space.

You will work collaboratively with site-based inventory controllers to ensure accurate and timely data for KPI reporting, conduct monthly inventory reviews to identify improvement opportunities, and oversee strategic inventory activities at the national account level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with site inventory controllers to address customer requests and key inventory issues
  • Conduct monthly inventory reviews with site inventory controllers to ensure consistency and identify improvement opportunities
  • Oversee and consolidate key strategic inventory reports at the national account level
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, conduct investigations, and prepare reports
  • Analyse inventory velocity to identify fast and slow-moving stock, recommending reclassification where appropriate
Requirements
  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent (tertiary or vocational qualification in logistics/supply chain desirable)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems to manage and control inventory
  • Effective analytical, critical reasoning, and communication skills
  • A strong customer service focus with a proactive approach to work, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
