Package Handler Position

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Package Handler. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth processing of packages for delivery.
About the Role:This position involves working at a Mail & Parcel Processing Centre where you will be responsible for manually sorting mail and parcels in preparation for delivery the next day. Your tasks will include assisting with the processing of various types of mail articles, manually handling and sorting items that cannot be machine sorted, and operating sophisticated processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Sorting and processing standard letters, large letters, small parcels, and Express Post articles
- Manual loading and unloading of mail from mail bags, trays, containers, and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
- Operating load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers while cooperating with operations staff
- Flexibility to work additional hours if required
- Excellent memory and attention to detail, with the ability to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory
