Insurance Claims Specialist

Role Overview:
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team in Adelaide. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Claims Team and Claims Performance Manager by assisting with complaints management, quality assurance audits, technical referrals, and other key responsibilities.
About the Role:
">- Provide timely and effective support to the Claims Team and Claims Performance Manager
- Assist with complaints management, including resolving customer issues and escalating complex cases as needed
- Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Support the Claims Performance Manager with technical referrals, COP monitoring, and reporting
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business goals and objectives
Key Accountabilities:
">- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of insurance products and services, including relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and achieve business objectives
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal partners
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
">- Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a general insurance claims function
- Property claims experience and previous complaints handling experience highly regarded
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate and liaise with colleagues and customers at all levels
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
