Senior Software Engineer Role

Canonical, a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

  • Job Description: This role entails leading design and architecture of impactful open source projects, coding in various programming languages, collaborating with a globally distributed team, mentoring colleagues, displaying technical leadership, debugging issues, and producing high-quality code.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications: An exceptional academic track record, undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations, technical leadership, deep experience with at least one of Go, Rust, Python, or C, conscientiousness and detail orientation, excellent communication skills, and ability to travel twice a year.
