About the Role:

As an Industrial Mechanical Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability across fixed plant operations. This site-based FIFO role involves working with the site team to support and optimize several newly installed fixed plant assets during production ramp-up.

You will identify design and performance issues, provide innovative solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify areas for improvement on process equipment from a mechanical perspective within a lithium operation.
  • Develop and propose solutions, from concept stage through to execution.
  • Monitor and track the efficiency of the implemented solution with a view to identify further optimization opportunities.
  • Draft detailed scopes of work to guide repair and improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with the head office Engineering team to align efforts and ensure consistency.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.

What You Bring:

  • A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with fixed plant operations in hard rock mining environments.
  • Proven experience optimizing materials handling systems and processes.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in mining, shutdowns, or related industries.
  • The ability to identify and eliminate recurring defects in mechanical systems.
  • The capacity to work autonomously, delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • A commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.

This is a competitive remuneration package that reflects the industry standard for a skilled Mechanical Engineer in Australia.
