Senior Clinician Opportunity

The role of the Senior Clinician involves providing high-level consultative services to public healthcare settings. This position requires expertise in managing extreme behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

This is a senior clinician position that demands exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and commitment to education and mentorship.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative services to public healthcare settings caring for people with BPSD.
  • Participate in planning and service development; travel across regions as required; deliver team-based clinical liaison services within inpatient settings.
  • Contribute to the development and operation of a statewide clinical consultation and liaison service; collaborate with relevant units.
Requirements For Appointment
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists; Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency; current Environment Protection Authority license if applicable.
  • Certificate in Old Age Psychiatry; sound clinical knowledge in Old Age Psychiatry; experience providing clinical consultation/liaison to services caring for people with BPSD.
  • Ability to travel and provide team-based CL services within inpatient settings.
