Job Opportunity:

A heavy-duty diesel fitter is required to provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to plant and equipment.

  • Emergency and unscheduled repairs to plant and equipment
  • Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Inspect and sign for delivered goods and materials
  • Request orders through the senior mechanic or maintenance superintendent
  • Evaluate materials ordered with short lead times

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in service and repairs of civil and marine plant and equipment and on heavy machinery.

Key Requirements:
  • Trade qualifications for plant maintenance or heavy machinery maintenance
  • High level of maintenance fitting skills including installation and repairs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in hydraulic and control systems
  • Attention to detail and quality with a safety-focused mindset
  • Effective communication to ensure all processes align with our mission statement and core values
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical diagnosis and repair including drawing interpretation and application
  • Current driver's license
