Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician Career Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of trucks.

  • Carrying out repairs, servicing, and inspections on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and drivelines.
  • Using advanced diagnostic software and computer systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Preparing detailed reports on repair work, supplies, and recommendations.
  • Mentoring and guiding apprentice technicians, ensuring safe work practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a focus on safety.
  • Experience in the heavy vehicle industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of American, European, or Japanese drivelines is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Current HC/HR licence is advantageous but not essential.
  • Own toolkit and full working rights in Australia.
