Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage strategic coordination and project management services. The ideal candidate will have experience in large and complex organizations, with strong project management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and collaboration to support the Director and management team meet objectives related to statutory reform initiatives.
  • Plan, monitor, and support management in delivering complex projects on time, within clear parameters including government policies.
  • Design, develop, and implement structured systems and governance arrangements to engage accountable business owners and develop an internal framework.
  • Manage, lead, or provide secretariat functions for relevant working groups, Governance, and/or Steering Committees.
  • Develop and review reporting materials, including risk and issue reports.

Requirements:

  • Sound understanding of WorkSafe's business processes and government legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large complex projects in government, including legislative and regulatory change projects.
  • Experience in managing medium to large scale and/or multi-faceted projects involving legislative and/or regulatory reform.
  • Highly developed writing skills, including concise briefing documents and high-level reports.
  • Experience in managing implementation of legislative and regulatory reforms, including operational and information products and IT system solutions.

As a collaborative and adaptable individual, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders.

You will possess a demonstrated use of strong project management methodology, including agile approaches, and an understanding of change management principles.
