About the RoleThis is a limited-term full-time position until 01/02/2026 to cover parental leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients in the acute and subacute settings, ensuring their needs are met through evidence-based practice. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans to promote functional independence and enhance quality of life.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensure seamless transitions, and facilitate comprehensive treatment.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress, reports, and outcomes, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- A current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
- A valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Experience in the acute and/or subacute inpatient setting, with a sound understanding of patient flow priorities and timeframes.
- High-level skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.
