Food Services Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a friendly and self-motivated Food Services Assistant to join our team at VMCH in Pakenham. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for delivering catering needs that meet the nutritional and hydration requirements of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals.
- Prepare, present and serve / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets.
- Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements.
Requirements
- Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate.
- Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility.
- Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision.
