Warehouse Technician Apprentice

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to learning and developing their skills in a fast-paced workshop environment. This apprenticeship provides an opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery.

Job Overview:

This role involves assisting experienced technicians with various tasks, including pre-delivery inspections, servicing, and repairs of customer and company-owned equipment. The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating machine performance, inspecting designs for compliance, and conducting pre-delivery inspections to ensure machines are in good working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating machine performance and inspecting designs for compliance with specifications
  • Install, test, repair, and modify electronic and hydraulic equipment
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and assess machines to ensure they're in good working order
  • Assist with conducting repairs and maintenance of customer and owned elevating work platforms, telehandlers, and lighting towers
  • Perform general cleaning and tidying of the workshop
  • Abide by specific site instructions, including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies
  • Complete paperwork and inspection forms as required by ANZ Standards and customer/site requirements
  • Assist with conducting three monthly and annual inspections of machines according to industry standards
  • Participate in ad-hoc duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to undertaking a 4-year apprenticeship with on-the-job training and block theory and practical training with a registered training organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally
  • Good listening skills, including the ability to follow instruction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills
  • Mature-minded and reliable individual
