Job Overview

AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Investment Manager to lead the pricing, negotiation, and execution of commercial deals related to the growth of our contracted infrastructure portfolio in Development & Future Networks (D&FN).

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per annumResponsibilities
  • Pricing, negotiating, and progressing governance for commercial deals related to the growth of AusNet's contracted infrastructure portfolio in D&FN.
  • Leading the identification, assessment, and mitigation of commercial risks through effective pricing, contracting, and insurance strategies.
  • Negotiating with customers to ensure project-wide value is optimised and realised across all parties involved in the transaction while mitigating risks.
  • Preparing investment business cases for new investment opportunities in preparation for executive and board review.
  • Presenting approval papers and business cases to relevant executives and delegates in seeking approvals specific to new infrastructure deals or variations.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, law, engineering, or associated discipline.
  • Completion of postgraduate studies (MBA/ICAA/CPA) and/or chartered environment experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial negotiations.
  • Further experience in financial management in the energy industry or critical infrastructure is favourable.
  • Well-versed in corporate finance principles and infrastructure asset pricing.
  • Detailed understanding of and ability to negotiate contracts, manage contracts, and properly allocate risks across various stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytically minded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which evidence a high capacity to influence at all levels including executives.
  • Ability to work within and contribute to a team with team members across various disciplines including finance, commercial, technical, and delivery.
  • Good interpersonal skills that enable communication and work with all levels of internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers.
