Key Responsibilities
- Admit patients to the hospital
- Care for patients on wards, including daily rounds
- Attend specialist and registrar ward rounds and record decisions made
- Respond promptly to calls from patient care team members
- Ensure consultations occur when requested by patients
- Interact with families or carers of hospital patients
- Accurately record drugs and treatment administered
- Verify and sign result sheets for investigations
- Perform procedures as required
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and contemporaneous records in medical files
Requirements
- General or limited registration with a professional board
- Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable)
- Pre-employment checks including conviction checks, identification check, and disciplinary action in previous employment check
