Job Opportunity: Outreach Services Librarian

We are seeking an experienced and innovative librarian to drive outreach services at our single-branch library located in a civic and cultural precinct.

The role requires someone with extensive public library experience, including time spent working with the community outside of the library.

You will also have experience in delivering a wide variety of public library services, including library events, processes, and promotions.

Above all, you'll be great with people and a positive connection point for our local community as we continue to develop and enhance our library offering.

  • Reporting to the Library Community Programs and Engagement Coordinator, this role would suit someone who is confident working independently often out in the community.
  • The role includes an RDO every three weeks, with one weekend shift and/or evening shifts per month.

  1. Extensive public library experience, including time spent working with the community outside of the library.
  2. Experience in delivering a wide variety of public library services, including library events, processes, and promotions.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
