As a key professional staff member, you will work closely with the Executive Dean, Deans of Programs, Dean of Research, and General Manager to ensure the effective management of the Academic Unit and contribute to the Unit's delivery of world-class teaching, research, and education services.

About the Academic Unit

The UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance Academic Unit offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, exercise and nutrition, health sciences, public health, exercise and sport science, and human movement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and support to the Academic Unit executive team
  • Manage communications and projects to achieve the Academic Unit's strategic and operational objectives
  • Implement strategies to support the achievement of the Academic Unit's goals
  • Work closely with the Executive Dean, Deans of Programs, Dean of Research, and General Manager to ensure effective management of the Academic Unit
  • Contribute to the development of the Academic Unit's strategic plans and initiatives
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a complex service-oriented organization
  • Highly developed writing and editing skills, with experience in developing reports, speeches, and presentations for a wide range of audiences
  • Proven analytical and research skills, with experience in synthesizing relevant information and data to provide insightful and innovative advice
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects through to completion, on time and on budget
  • Experience in building high-performing and resilient teams, with a focus on constructive supervision and performance development
